Design characteristics of maintenance free angular contact spherical plain bearings
The inner and outer rings of angular contact spherical plain bearings are made of bearing steel that has been through-hardened and ground. C&H also supply maintenance free angular contact spherical plain bearings,we have two different sliding layer material: PTFE fabric and PTFE plastic (fibre reinforced polymer, containing PTFE, is injection moulded onto the outer ring). The sliding surface of the inner ring is hard chromium plated and coated with a lithium base grease.
